Community Wellbeing Meeting: Supporting Teens
Raising children is a rewarding and challenging task, a great blessing and Amanah from Allah SWT. Filled with laughter, tears, hopes and fears.
This weekend, we have prepared a series of events with a special focus on supporting our young people. We heard you when you asked for practical strategies, and a chance to share and discuss ideas. Whether you are a parent, youth mentor, family friend or community volunteer, these events are an opportunity to share some of the challenges, fears, highs and lows of parenting teens. Explore some of the issues facing our young people growing up in New Zealand, and discuss practical parenting strategies based on sound principles from psychology and the Islamic tradition.
